L01 Task 1 Ownership of 20th Century Fox

Hi Im Will and today i will be expelling owner ship using 20th century fox as an example.

20th Century Fox is a subsidiary [A Subsidiaries are smaller companies what are owned by a larger company.] of the cross media [ The company produce more than one media product by owing companies what produce different media.] Conglomerate [made up of smaller companies these are called subsidiaries] 21th Century Fox owned by Rupert Murdoch.  20th Century fox haven't currently worked with anyone.

As they are part of congealment they use Synergy [ Synergy when subsidies or congealment products are promoted by other parts of the group] to promote their films. For Example Avatar would have had frequent adverts on Fox Tv.

20th Century Fox produce Tv and Films. However this means that 20th Century Fox only specialise in Tv and Film Production. They have produced many successful products:

- The Simpsons ran December 17, 1989 – present and brought in a revenue of  2 Billion

- The Following ran January 21, 2013 – present.

- Brooklyn Nine-Nine ran September 17, 2013 – present.

-  Avatar ,December 18, 2009 it made 2,782,275,172

- Night At The Museum, December 22, 2006 it made $574,480,841.

- I, Robot, July 16, 2004 it made $347,234,916.

- Life of Pie, November 21, 2012 it made $609,016,565.

20th Century aim to cater for ever as they produce more than one type of genre to full on rom-coms to action packed actions.

We know that are successful because they have produced a number of box office hits and they have  also has become a house hold name. 20th century fox operate to the same and better efficiency as they big six media companies. They are very successful intentionally and nationally as they hit the top of the box office in lots of counties. 

20th Century Fox main comports are Walt Disney Studios, Columbia Studios, Wanner Brothers and Metro-Gold Mayer. As they Produce they are in the Major Six for producing and distribution in the media industry. This means that the Major Six are in the same league as 20th Century Fox for revenue and productions. They stand out by the branding and there advertisement because of News Corporations is bigger then most other conglomerates.
